Google Introduce Skype Like Service
Google is probably one of the biggest brands in the world; the company which started off from just search has now got its foot in hundreds of industries. But recently Google has unveiled their new mobile service which could be a potential problem for the hugely popular Skype.
The service works pretty similar to Skype where as it allows users to make cheap or free international phone numbers calls and gives them a speech to text section for voicemail. Google are scaring a lot of the smaller companies by getting their feet into different industries besides search. We all know the brains behind their search engines were spectacular, so what is there to say they cannot dominate every industry they enter? And cause a huge monopoly for the competitors.
Folk are beginning to moan that Google should just stick to what they do best and that is search. But what people are not seeing is that Google is in fact solely thinking about the progression of its search and that is why this is happening. Google already know that mobile access to information is on the rise. In around a few years time alot of the population will probably be accessing their most visited web sites on the go, they will be making searches on the run. So what better way for Google to get an insight into this then launching their own products?
We already know that Google try to track every aspect as part of their algo, to effectively deliver the best search results, they look at analytics data, content, backlinks, click through rates and so much more, so ultimately tracking mobile trends will help tweak the algo overall. Every thing that they release they use in some form or another to advance their search results or to keep up with progressive trends of search.
