This is a much researched replacement receiver for an Onkyo HT-S7100 7. 1 system. Your Onkyo receiver HDMI input ports, one by one, began to cease passing signal until singular port worked. So disappointed with the Onkyo (it was a Christmas gift from my lady in 2008). From various a/v forums I uncovered out that this was a over common problem with too many with this model. First of all ther is absolutely no printed manual, it comes on a good enclosed CD. You can print it out (I did because I love to have it handy for referencing but it is far from a well written manual). Some have complained around the remote, I don’t have a problem by it. In “stand by” (needs to often be activated) receiver passes audio and video instantly to TV and its speakers, which is great if you don’t want to run surround sound, state, when your wife is sleeping for on Saturday morning. So far I’m really excited about this receiver. It isn’t top belonging to the line but it’s not bottom sometimes, it’s mid-line. But honestly I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with this particular Yamaha RX-V667. It truly is awesome. An added thing, it can be purchased for a lower price than what Amazon charges but I opted to sleep in with the assurance of an on-line supplier (Amazon) that I’ve done business with for a long time now and have never been frustrated. They really do take care health of their customers. I’m sure I’ll add to this fact review after I’ve had the phone longer.
